Does anyone uses water from a dehumidifier for their tanks (FW or SW)?

We use it for our orchids, but I have yet the courage to pour it in a tank.

(FWIW the unit is brand spanking new, and pullin' water outta the air like mad).

I would not. IIRC they have copper core and some would leach into the water.

Well don't forget it's not it'll also pull the dirty dusty air into the water as well, as a result I wouldn't trust it, water your plants with it fine.. but fish tank where we take the utmost care to make the most pure water possible? No way!

Then doesn't that mean you "can't"....? :?

A TDS meter would not check for copper.
