okay, heres the thing.

as some of you know, im a junior in HS and im taking AP Biology next year.

My teacher wants us to read 2 books Biology related. I've already read one. And i would like to read a book on anything saltwater/reefs.

It can be fiction/nonfiction. Althought i think it would have to be a novel. I would prefer it to be short because yah know, im not much of a reader lol

Please help a friend out. Im sure we all remember the days we had to read a book over summer :-(

Thanks. DRoy1124

bah, why cheat? Why not read a good ocean biology releated book and learn? "Between Pacific Tides" by Edward F Ricketts (Doc Ricketts) and jack Calvin. This book has inspired more people to take marine bio, then any other book ;)

If you are actually interested in reading something marine bio related you should read Natural Reef Aquariums by John Tullock. He describes the process of setting up a reef tank by following the "less technology, more biology" idea. It is a good way to learn about all of the biology that keeps a reef thriving and healthy. You don't have to run your tank exactly how he does, but knowing the information will give you a better understanding of how things work. Also, there are a lot of pictures, example aquariums, and you are learning more about reef keeping while reading something that is actually interesting. You can probably find the book used for less than the $20 you're going to pay someone, and as most reef keepers will tell you it is always good to have a couple of books on hand for reference. Either way, good luck
