turnover rate will change with the kinds of animals you try and keep. fore reef animals like staghorn corals require more flow and will change there morpology in diffrent circulation envirnments. i use 10x threw the sump and am looking at moding some mj1200's to the tuze style to keep down costs and increase flow. stagnation in any area will cause problems but you dont need to blast the animals from there homes. flow paterns in the tank will help with over all health so look at making the pumps work together to cause turbulence and greater flow.
