live rock question

I was vacationing in mexico and there was tons of live rock washed up on the shore. There was a unique looking piece that I took home. It has been out of the water for a couple of weeks. What do I have to do to it before I can put it in my tank ? I was dryed out when I found it and never smelled bad. Thanks
