What happens to the water when the temp. is to cold, say 72, and what happens to the water when it gets to hot, say 89.
I am asking to help better the tank, like what happens t the elements, O2 and carbon and such?

Cooler water holds more dissolved gasses.

That is the best I can do :D

The higher the temp the less space there is for O2. High temp will also raise the metabolism of the fish and inverts. It is best to keep the temp between 75-85 F for most of the fish/inverts we keep.
