It appears that my snails have decided to reproduce. I now have about 100 - 200 2-5 mm snails everywhere in my tank (Cerith I think). In my FW days I had a snail explosion that just took over the tank. Is the same thing going to happen. They are very small and there is now way I could remove them all.

Should I just leave them (30 Gal tank). Anybody have any suggestions of what to do.

Thanks

Do you have any pics of them? I had stomatellas do that. They will explode and recede in waves it seems. They reproduce, eat , starve, reproduce, eat , starve. It is a cycle. It is in proportion to how many starfish I have as well. I have the little asterna (sp) and they go through the opposite swings of the snails. When snail stock is up star fish is down, when star fish are up snails are down. Unless you have a vast amount of food source for them, they will come and go. You could try to get some out and trade to your LFS for something you need.
