disappearing zoas

all of my zoos are slowly dissapearing, why? water is good other corals are fine except maybe my toadstool leather it has not opened fully for 3mth about the time my zoos starting to dissapear. i have a 55 gallon with sump, fuge, skimmer, powerheads and a 2 x 150w halides and 2 dual 96 watt actinics. everything is working well. i don't have a uv filter. someone told me i may need one cause of the halides will burn the corals is this true? or do any of you have any other ideas. i have a really huge zoo rock that i don't want to lose but i think i am losing the battle. help.

Im glad you mentioned this because my zoos were not opening up and started to shring. THis all began at the introduction of my finger leather. In fact all of my corals have been acting funny since I added the leather. The finger leather is doing great but nothing else is. Im going to move it into my eel tank tonight to see if that fixes the problem. Perhaps your leather is causeing the same problem.

I have 1008 watts of light over my 90 .and my zoas do just fine some are at the top too.
