I got the purpleish cap today. It is really thin. Much thinner than the other caps I have. Do caps get thicker in higher flow tanks or are some just naturally thin?
I heard that different species are grow thicker than others because I was asking someone once if heavy caps growing on tank walls would be too heavy for the glass.
What kills me is I cant get any caps around here. Its been forever since Ive seen one for sale.
I got a purplish cap a month or 2 ago, and it started off pretty thin. Since then it has grown thicker. I have noticed the biggest difference in growth in the thickness. As for flow, I would say mine is in a medium flow, and I am using VHO for lighting. My orange cap on the other hand has not thickened up as much, but is growing in a cooler shpae as of now. The orange gets a bit more constant flow, and is about 5inches higher in the tank..
