Is there room between an external glass overflow and the tank to stick a background in? I like how external overflows make the inside of the tank space so uncluttered, but I think it would look weird to have a black background up to the external overflow and then you can see through the overflow into the plumbing.

I just cut a whole sheet of 1/4" acrylic to fit the back of the tank.

! that's cool, though I wouldn't want to clean those curvy overflow teeth :D

How is it attached to the back wall? Glued permanently or slid into a slot? Can you take it out for cleaning, and do you have to worry about anything getting behind it?

thanks,
jayo
