Hi guys. I just want you to help me with this ID, it looks like some kind of lawnmower and it acts like a lawnmower but I want to know what its scientific name is.

Need a better picture of the whole critter. At the moment my guess would be a species of Ecsenius, possibly E. bicolor.

Thats not a lawnmower blenny. Hmmm definitly a blenny of somesort, but not sure what kind. Its colored up almost like a madarian.

Maybe someone else with more intelligence can chime in and help you out with this one.

Thanks for your replies... I mention a lawnmower because it swims like a lawnmower, eats like a LM (feeds on algae in the same way), stops over the rocks like a LM, looks at you like a LM but the pattern and colors are different.

Great personality!

I'm trying to get a better pic but I couldn't yet.
