Vibrio was the dominant genus in rotifer cultures, constituting up to 56 % of the bacterial community, with Vibrio anguillarum, Vibrio alginolyticus, Vibrio diazotrophicus, Vibrio mediterranei and Vibrio tubiashii-like as representative species (Verdonck et al., 1997Go).

Well, compare to Vibrio cholerae, they are pretty friendly folks.

I grow billions, no eye problems here :D

My eye problems are usually from working on reef tanks, 9/10 outa ten. I tend to wash up more, when handling rotifers. Not to mention, our IRC rotifer system is a flow thru design (less vibrio, etc).
