I've had mine for about 6 months with no issues, if they start to move a little jerky, just soak it in vinager for a while. For $10 you can't beat these things!
I put one onto a zoomed sweeping powerhead in one of my fuges and wham..cyano was gone..

These are great! I used them in my prior tank (wasn't drilled and I didn't use an overflow). It kept the water moving very nicely without adding to the electric bill. My big Mexican Turbos used to ride on them and keep them nice and clean of algae. :D

I stopped using them when I got my new Oceanic Tek tank, but after seeing Scumonkey's rig, I just may have to pull them out of the parts storage bin.

I've used them since day 1!
After a few months they can get a little sticky but like Kathy said, a little vinegar soak and good as new!
I've also heard some people complain that after a while they come loose and fall off....
One of mine did get a little lose but, a few turns around the connector with some plumbers tape and problem solved.
Best water mover without electro investment one can make!!
