As the pic shows, some of these inverts dropped off the main rock. One of them attached to the rock I put him on, as you can see on the far right.

But I've got a group of three on the ground, that no matter where I put them, they wind up on the sand an hour later.

A) Do these buggers move that far on their own?!?

B) can I carefully cut the three at their base, and put each on the rock so that they join the lone ranger? (Of course I know about palytoxin, and will use rubber gloves that I will then throw out.)[/img]

I thought the 'superglue' was just a facetious answer, until I read up on the subject. So what kind of superglue should I use? Is krazy glue Gel going to kill my damsel and Ocelaris clown???

What if I do the cutting within the tank - will toxin released kill them also? (I am not at all secure about doing the cutting anywhere outside of the tank in my flat)

I've glued plenty onto rocks. It doesn't matter what kind.....Krazy Glue is fine. I would cut it, take it out of your tank, glue (let glue dry), then place back in tank.

All done.

Any cyanoacrylate glue will work well.
You should not need to cut anything. Don't cut the polyps...I don't know why you would...:)

Because there's three of them joined at the base - lying in the sand as you can see.

I would suppose that these Paly's stretched and bent all out of whack are trying to get what light they can?

Time to look for LEDs on a 10-gallon...

I'd say you should glue all three together and not try to seperate them.

Now for the latest news - as I was working in the nano last night, NOT straining at all, I noticed that all of a sudden my heart was immediately racing. I got sweats on my forehead. I went into the kitchen, feeling OK otherwise, and took my BP - it was 159/89 which is high for me. My pulse was 105 bpm.

I pulled up the Palythoa page that gave the drugs in case my wife needed to call an ambulance, but no other symptoms developped.

Since I have never had Tachycardia like that before (it felt like I had just finished intense activity, as a Karate teacher I know my body and it's responses very well - this was extremely odd) I am wondering if I might have gotten the slightest trace of toxin in me??!

I take vasodilators to bring my hypertension down to a normalish level of 130/80 - I wonder if they might have acted as a buffer against vasoconstriction.

Or maybe it was one hell of a coincidence...because shouldn't I be DEAD minutes after no matter the amount??!!

Always wear gloves when dealing with Zoos. There toxins effect are different from species to speciies - and probably colony to colony. I think i read on another post that some tribal species uses the poison on darts.
