Well I purchased the 125 today, and was able to get the stand and canopy in a different color for the same price
. It should be delivered in 2 to 2.5 weeks.
After much research(still not enough) I came to the conclusion that there are many effective ways to do a tank. Every person has had their own individual expierences with everything from sumps, pumps, to snails, lol.
I am picking up two books tomorrow one on fish and the other on corals.
I want to have a good balance in the tank with the livestock the family and I can agree on. So far we really want to keep the sailfin and the green star polyp.
I am going with a vho kit of 440 watts for cycling and to get things started. When the cylce is complete I will do 1 of 2 things: either add my existing t5's which total 216 watts to give me a little over 5 watts per gallon, or buy another vho kit and go to about 770 watts.
I am still torn on the wet dry vs refugium. I have read some really interesting post about it and I am left confused as to which way to go. For now it is wet dry only.
The lfs had a nice looking skimmer, but i think the brand probably sucks. I have never heard of sea life systems, and can not find much about it on line. The deal was sweet, and it looks tough as nails. I may go with a deltac or something along those lines.
I see what the lfs uses and his tanks are beautiful, so he is doing something right too. Well it is going to be another late night here online doing research.. TTYL my friends here at RDO..
