Alright, I am new here. But I just had to ask (didn't I) what the term {squat} describes under certain (typically venerable) reefs.org members' names. I won't try to guess.

Extremely high post counts ONLY means that they frequent the sump not that they are "venerable" :wink:

I paused when choosing that word, in case people took it as meaning old. Lemme look it up now...

"Accorded a great deal of respect, esp. because of age, widsdom, OR character".

So lets assume that I assumed that the respect was accorded due to wisdom and character, not age :wink:

There are quite a few sumpers with loads of experience in reefing however.

I frequent it, but have posted less and less in it over the years. When I did 'discover' it, tho, my post count got huge. It's inevitable.

Of course, that was back when danmhippo and tangirl were the highest post-count peeps, with 6k and 5k. Now lots of peeps have high post counts, but I'm still in the top 35.
