Hi guys, currently I have the Aquamedic Turboflotor Multi SL that runs with an oceanrunner 37 watts. It skims great but people say it is under rated for a 180g so I am considering an upgrade.

I don't wish to spend alot but of course a skimmer you buy it once and for this reason I need your help to help me choose a good one.

I don't wish a big skimmer, I mean a tall one because I don't have space were to make it but would consider any opinions.

I made a search and these skimmers that interested me, all are rated for aquariums more then 180g so I think they are a good choice for me.

What do you think guys about these?

I've only used the TF Shorty and can recommend it. I've seen the Tunze (maybe not that particular model) in action and find it "okay" but not something I'd get. I would consider a Deltec skimmer, or HSA line which is a bit cheap.

So Len's yu recommend the Aquamedic Shortie right? It is expensive but I think worth it because it's rated for 1500 Litres aquarium and is not big as a size. It is true that can handle such a big tank of around 300gallons?

Also guys please I need more opinions, which model if not these listed above is best for my 180g soft coral tank ?
