Recently moved a 5 inch bubble tip anemoe out of sand as it was running out of space. SInce moving, I have noticed it has changed locations multiple times to higher up on live rock. I am conecerned that now it seems to have wedged or fallen between the spaces in the live rock - only showing a couple of tentacles now. Do they ever get stuck?

yea mine got stuck a while back. Their very finnicky about where they like to be, mine likes to be in full "sun" on the bottom in medium current....nowhere else. WHen they get stuck they cannot get out. They dont really swim, they more of glide/sail. So they cant go vertical like they cnidarian cousin the jelley.

Are you sure that an anemome doesn't Walk with its foot? In some cases they have been known to ball up and roll around in the current until they find a more suitable location. I am sure that in 99 out of 100 cases an anenome could get itelf out of any location (in a tank) it would fall into given the time.
My anenome for example, has attached itself to a snail with its foot and went for a ride at one time, and recently climbed into a cave and lived there for three weeks before movving into the CL intake. 8O I can assure you. It walked to both of those locations. If you look at alot of tank pics you will occasionaly see an anenome living happily up on a tank wall. They dont get up there by people patiently holding them until they attach.

Well Im sure anything can happen. But whenever Ive seen an anemone move they have let go of the substrate and glided. i suppose it depends on the current velocity.
