RED CURLY PLANT (ALGAE?)

I noticed about 3 months ago a small red plant growing on my live rock. The plant was quite good looking. Well it is getting large now. I still think it looks kind of neat. The plant is red with light spots and curly. Sort of looks like curly lettuce. Can this become a problem? Or is just taking up nutrients.
If some one can help me id this and let me know if I should keep it or get rid of it .

Put me down in the "keep it" column. Can't ATM remember the genus but it's a nice marco algae to have.

i have something like this, a big frilly red algae that grows very fast. i think it is attractive and i kept mine, but i have to keep prunning it every month.
