Need some help. I own Ice Cap 250-MH electronic ballasts and PFO Mini Pendants. If memory serves, the mini pendants are 150W. My question is, since my ballasts will drive 250W lamps, will 250W HQI bulbs fit in the 150W Mini Pendants? That is to say, are the bulbs the same dimensions? If not, is it simply a matter of moving the ceramic holders in the pendant to "retro fit" to accomodate the 250W bulbs?

Thanks for the help.

I had the PFO mini pendant that has a 250W DE in it.

THe bulbs are not the same size. The 250 is much bigger.

You maybe able to get the 250W sockets into the pendant though. I just upgraded my pendant to the Lumenarc III 250W HQI pendant and the tank is allot brighter and more covered with light.

I have found by looking at the two pendants online that the housing dimensions are the same between the 150W and 250W fixtures so maybe it would be just a matter of moving the ceramic holders.

They are different holders. If you have the 150W socket then You need to change them to the 250 type.

Rob is correct. The bulbs are not the same size in either lenght or connection point dimensions. To make the pendant work you will need to change the holders out.
