I am upgrading the lights on my 125 reef

Right now i am running 2 36" light systems side by side

* 36" Tek t5 light system
- 6 39watt t5
* Custom light
- 2 250w mh
- 2 96watt pc

The new light i am building is totally custom
- 3 250w mh
- 6 39w t5
(4 bulbs making 2 rows fully across the front and then 2 bulbs in the back center between the two overflows)

The big question is though, what bulbs should i get mh and t5???

Will you be using DE or SE bulbs. If you're using the SE, then the Ushio 250w 14K's are real nice. If you're going with DE, then Iwasaki is coming out with a 250w DE 14K that is real nice color. If not the Iwasaki, then the Phoenix 14K are a great bulb that doesn't even need supplementation.....IMO.

I'm a fan of Coralvue Reeflux. I've replaced my stock 14,000k bulb with a a 10,000k DE 150w Reeflux bulb and I've never had more color in my tank than I do now... even with the bulb being a lot whiter.

Tony @ Reefexotics.com also uses Reeflux (SE 10,000k-multiple 400w) and his acros are unbelievably colorful. From what I remember, I don't think he was running any actinics either.

I've also heard great things about the Iwaski's that Russ mentioned, but haven't seen them in action.

Hope that helps.
