Can a copperbanded butterfly be happy in a 30 gallon. I need something to eat aptaisia. I dont want any disappearing berghia or berghia puree from a MJ mod .I would get a very small CBB about the size of a si;ver dollar. hat y guys think?

They have a very spotty record of survival as it is. If it were me I probably wouldn't do it.

It's way too small of a tank long term IMO.

Try peppermint shrimp first. If those don't work, Klein's butterflies are much more common, much hardier, and more consistently attack Aiptasia IME.

I agree with Matt. The 30 is way to small for CBB. I have used pepermint shrimp in the past with success. Get a couple since one may not have a taiste for aiptasia.

The good news is the tank isn't really big enough for aiptasia.

peppermints work for me. you might have to try a few before you find some that eat aiptasia though but once they do, they do a good job.
