Bubble tip anemones(BTA) deflate on occasion.

The bubble tips vary on each individual anemone. It is not clear why they have or lose their bubble tips. Some say it is water chemistry, others say lighting, feeding, or water motion or a combination of all.

Sounds very serious. BTAs deflate now and then, but never really look that bad. I've seen the 'microwaved' look in other Anems (Sebae), both times from hot temps. Both died soon after.

Try to keep your temp stable.
The upper limit I've found with BTAs is about 29 C. (But most would say that's too high, too.)

Welcome to the deadbeat anemone club. My pink tip will look great one day, dead the next. This has been going on for over 6 months. All my other creatures are doing great and the water parameters are good.

WHat do you feed your anemone? Did you buy one of those "pretty white anemones"?

Yeh, My anemone def. looked bleached and dyed, it was bright white and bright pink! I have been trying to feed it mysis, and it seems to eat it sometimes. It also seems to like the light. It will perk up usually in the light, and close up at night.

NEVER buy those white anemones. They are anemones that have already expelled their host zooanthelae. Meaning they will eventually die. As for feeding, mysids is not enough, they need to eat their body weight in shrimp per week. Thats the best advice I could give you. Take a look at my anemone in my 55 gal.
