Consider a Maxijet 900 or 1200 instead. They are more reliable and cost about the same from most of our site sponsors. They include a "Directional Flow Flap" which might be the same as the flare nozzle, but you don't have to pay extra for it.

RIO=Junk

Anything made by this company should be avoided including the SEIO line. I had several RIO's crap out on me and I currently have a SEIO that will not restart after it is turrned off. I have to take it out and clean it and that is no gaurentee it will come back on. If you are looking for a small power head go with maxi-jet. If you are looking for a submersiable pump look and the Magdrives.

O.K. Seams like im going to go with the Maxijet 900.

The Maxijet should serve you well. I have a few that are getting close to 10 years old and they still work well.

I use rio's to mix up my replacement water :wink: They are perfect for that, since they are dirt cheap.

I would not use them in a tank where I need them to be reliable...maxi jet is your best bet.

Last night I ordered the maxijet 900 for the same price as the rio 600 but this one does 30 gph more, and it has the adjustable fan that I was looking for.

So… im happy thank you everyone that gave me advice. :D :D :D
