hey i just picked up a nice monti.c plating from the LFS and i was wanting some tips on care for it as far as lighting a current , lfs dude said high light and moderate current. thx
i have some in lower light and some in higher light. they will change colors with different amounts of light but they can do okay on the bottom of the tank if you have mh. they need lots of current. if they dont get enough current, junk collects inside the whirls and it dies off.
I have 2 under VHO's. I have one place high and the other in the middle area. The current I provide is probably medium. I have had them for almost 3 months, and have excellent growth thus far. Hope that helps.
