Tank is still making a huge turnaround. Corals have colored up and are growing? Coraline is growing more nad even noticed some dark red coraline on some of the rock. The long polyped millie was showing no polyp extension and was pale adn now is purple again and has sprouted about 4 new branches. The bali slimer has regained its green. The blue tort is not as blue yet but its dark blue with light bluish/purple tips. The pink stylo is turning red again. Even the green w/pink tipped frogspawn has regained all its colors.
Can someone explain how changing the MH bulb from a Phoenix 14K to a 10K XM would make such a turnaround in a month and a half? NOTHING else changed including my husbandry. I ran the first 14K bulb for 11 months before changing to a new one 4 months ago. The growth I have seen in the past month has at least tripled what the tank had done in 2 years with the 14K. CA reactor is still running the same, Kalk reactor running for all top off - same. MH is on for 4 hours a day and the VHO's for 6. I still may try adding another hour of MH to see if it makes a difference.
