AKA Positively Plastered with Plural P's

I'm trying to disguise the two Durso standpipes in my clear (oops...) overflow box. I was thinking about painting the entire standpipes with PVC primer...its inert when cured, right? Maybe I should also coat them with cement? Any other ideas? Bright white PVC pipe really takes from the display....

Thanks for any ideas--

Won't the PVC be covered with coralline algae after a few months anyway?

Yes...but the people (patients) I'm installing it for don't know that. I know i'm just shortcutting, but initial presentation is important here.

yup either find some schedule 80 pipe (it's grey) or a can of Krylon fusion paint.
