does anyone use the outer orbit hqi light? If so, can i see pics of your tank and setup. Im looking to get the 36 inch one with 2 96w pc for my 46 bowfront. Do you guys think the center brace will conflict with the light? if so how do i fix it. Thanks

hey i am upset because i am buying light on tuesday and i am not able to get orbit lighting, i have to get aqualight. they are all comparable but i love the lunar lights on the orbit systems compared to all the rest. aqualight is not the same in that regard and i am not happy but i need to do this now and need to get aqualight. if you can do an orbit especially outer orbit extreme that fits what you are looking to do, i would do it. they are seriously good lights,
i still may sacrifice and get them but my lfs only has them in 150 watt halides and I need 250's

I disagree a little with Shavo. You will get a shadow of some sort from your center brace, but hopefully with pc lighting it won't be nearly as noticable as with stronger MH lighting. You can always replace the center brace with cable, or eurobrace your tank, but very few ppl have LONG term success with moding their center brace. I replaced mine only to have the tank start bowing a year later. Another user her, Ranger, also had a similar experiance. The best advice I can give would be to #1 live with the center brace or #2 purchase a tank that is either shallow enough not to need one or one that is eurobraced.

Good luck to you !

Im now looking at the sunpod 36inch. It has 2- 150w 14k bulbs. that will get around the center brace
