I just recently (yesterday) received a true perc. clown from DFS. It's about 1 1/4" big (not really a medium eh?). Anyhow, my question is in regards to his sleeping patterns. All of my other fish hide in the rocks at night. However, my clownfish wants to swim all night and hang out up near the top of the tank in the front corner. Is this normal behavior for clowns? I do have a nice piece of frog spawn, but for some reason it either hasn't found it, or isn't interested in it. I realize it takes a few days or weeks for fish to mellow out, but I just wanted to make sure the little guy was ok.

PS- Girlfriend named him Bozo. Yeah, exactly.

Do most people get a pair when they get them? I wouldn't want the little guy to be lonely if that's the case.

There is something fun you can do. Get a Flashlight or LED flashlight, when all the light is out. The Clown fish will follow your flashlight around and stay underneath the light.

My ocellaris sleep in the upper right-hand corner of the tank near the return line, and have for years.

I usually keep clowns in pairs just because it is pretty easy to get them to pair when they are young, but I don't think they need to be in twos.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on the little guy. Maybe I'll pick up another one....I'll wait a bit and see.
