Stunning!
Unarce, I assume most of those are all rare and unusual corals, never see them around here on offer (?) Absolutely beautiful! When are you going to post a full tank shot? You know how we all love those full frontal pics!

Yes, I promised to only limit myself to rare corals in this tank, and so far, I've been able to stick to it. Keeps me from overstocking and having to weed out stuff.

I'll try and take a FTS soon.

hey what kind of camera is that? i need a camera and i want to take pictures that look like yours.
thanks

I'm using a 4 MP PowerShot S410. I think it just comes out clear because they're top down shots, instead of through the glass. I just have to wait for the fish to stop making ripples at the surface :?

FWIW Karl, look at the posts in the beginning of the RC BAR forum (or even the old BARE forum).

Karl, Buddy, Compatriot, Comrade, Amigo, Blood Brother!

Do you happen to be coming to the BAR frag swap this Feb? Knowing your tastes I have nothing you want, but I do have a birthday coming up in July, I'll tell you I'm a fan of blue :D

Yeah, I sort of regret having posted that one. I'm getting too many PM's for it :?

I hankered after one myself when I had a tank in Japan. They weren't common, but did show up from time to time.

This is the closest I got. Not the same thing, but I liked it (I had a crappy camera at the time, so sorry for the poor quality of the pic - I have a better camera now, but no tank!)

Tom, that looks like a deepwater coral. The name escaped me, but I had one with greenish tint for a few years. :( But then, Acropora pretty much look all the same, so I can be wrong to think I know what it is.

You're right, I think. I did identify it (or thought I had - I confess I didn't go as far as putting it's skeleton under a microscope). I can't for the life of me remember the name though, or the site I always used to consult (as well as my Veron - now in storage). Do you know the site I mean? I think it's Australian, with a separate page on loads of different corals, with about 4-5 pics on each, including one of the skeleton. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'll dig out the name again.

FWIW, despite being a "deep water coral" it grew fairly well in quite bright light (under 2X 250w DE, quite high up), putting on about 50% in size over 8-9 months before I sold my entire set-up to a friend before moving back to the UK.
