Looks to me like it would make a fine fuge (or possibly nano) bulb if it comes in the right K rating.

I just bought a two pack so I could actually see if it was worth using these over my fuges.

IMO my 13watt 5000k florescent puts out as much light as the 60watt Edison. The florescent has a more even spread than the Edison. The Edison had more of a spot light effect directly under the bulb. The florescent, at 5000k is much bluer than the Edison leading me to believe that the Edison has a very low K rating and would be useless on reef tank in any capacity.
At least the Edisons will make good light to read by. :)

They will probably be 3500K. That is pretty typical of that type lamp. Rated lmp life is about 2-3000 hrs, lumen output for the 60W is around 900. Lumen output for the CFL should be around 800. A lower color temp could be quite useful on a fuge for algae growth. One reson many "grow lights" are HPS.
