I know a few ppl are running these. I'm thinking about moving my 29 into a 24 Bio-Cube just to get the compactness of having everything all in one box (not to mention that the stand on my 29 is beat to hell and the tank itself is battered and scratched up). What are your experiences? I'm also thinking about dumping the w/d portion and mounting a small PC over that w/d bay and putting macros in there instead of the bioballs.

Thoughts?

do you mean the 29 biocube? they dont make a 24 gallon but aquapod does. the 29 biocube is a good tank. the canopy is kind of cheap in quality but that is my only complaint. oh, one more thing is make sure you top off regularly because the pump chamber section is small and if water evaps fast the water level drops fast.

Yeah I must be thinking of a 29, I don't knowwhy I had 24 stuck in my head. Good point about evap, especially if I end up leaving that back flap up with a PC over it.

One thing to take into consideration is that these cubes are usually smaller (in volume) than their comparative glass tanks. So, you might actually be looking at a 25 gallon cube. ;)

But I like them a lot! Another option you could consider is a 33 gallon Oceanic cube. 8)
