Birds Nest Coral

When I bught my birds nest coral from the LFS, the tips were rounded. Since I put it my tank it has grown and the tips have split, but they are very pointed and sharp now. What does that mean? Are pointed tips better or rounded tips.

Oh, the nest was on the bottom of the tank in the store, and near the top in mine.

Just a curiosity question.

Mine did the same. IME it was new growth.

I agree, it sounds like it is growing faster in your tank than it was at the LFS

I have two differt types of birds nest in my tank. One has the pointy tips and the other the rounded.

I just went and looked at some growth shots. You probably have the poiny tip kind. When I first got mine the tips were blunt.
