Does any one have experience with the Iwasaki 150w SE 6700K lamps? I have been told that the keep their spectrum really well, thus not needing to be replaced very often.

No they aren't. A 6700K bulb is white to slightly blue. It will look yellow if your water is yellow.

I had some people say my 6500's looked yellow. Maybe it did to them. To me it looked just fine. I ma not doing this for them, so I bought 3-4 sets at least.

I have seen a iwasaki over a 20g on another persons tank. However, the bulb was about 2-3 years old. It looked fairly white to me.

I am considering placing Iwasaki's over a 125g I work on and possibly replacing my DE 150w (over my 30 cube) with a Iwasaki.

They are a good spectrum for growth on many photsynthetic animals (and plants!) but I've seen tanks with the SE bulbs and for lack of a better description, well it looked like someone peed in their aquarium!
