Isnt that the truth. I went out of town for four days and have had several angry corals since. One RTN'd and I just fragged the crap out of another to hopefully save some of it as well.

I have a UV in the closet but I am so convinced it won't do anything that I haven't bothered to dig it out.

I don't blame you. I've been keeping marine fish since '91 and having run systems with and without UV units I remain unconvinced that they are very effective at dealing with ectoparasites like ich. Personally I haven't used a UV since the mid 90s and haven't lost a single fish to ich since then.
