i have 75g tank 29g sump with refug i have nova t5 lighting 8 bulbs(getting ready to order reflectors)ive had tank about 1 1/2 years or so.i have tang and cardnial fish 2 emerald crabs,sea urgent,and a bunch of cleaner crabs and what i think is a pom pom crab.what my ? is is what are some good corals for me to get started with that i would want to keep and how do they eat. do i feed them or do they get what they need from light and or water.really want some color. and i do have about 100LBs of live rock and 4" sand bed. please help

i always recommend starting with zoanthids. Don't worry about feeding them.. they are photosynthetic.

me too, i dont feed xenia or zoa. they will get all they need from the lights and water.

With that lighting you could keep just about anything with limitations on placement on some SPS. How is you flow and other gear. I would suggest leathers and LPS as starters. If you want to stay that route you could add mushrooms and zoanthids. Mushrooms are about the easiest things in the world to keep, but if you decide you do not want to keep them any more they are almost impossible to totally get rid of. Zoanthids are just a step up and complexity and a step down in removal.

flow, sump outlet 1500gph,powerheads 600,300had another (maxjet) but to ugly took it out was thinking of those ones that look like little fans also have i think red sea skimmer(junk)lfs talked me into that one. 100$so i did it. now i need to spend a couple hundred more,learn as you go forget what ya no.yes i want to start with something easy but not something i will just want to get rid of right down the road.but going slow so still have alittle time to decide.but really starting to get the itch.so any ideas would really help thanks alot

The Tunze Nanostreams are the ones that look like fans. There are also chinese ones (made by Taam if I'm not mistaken). Then there's Seio pumps you can consider, though they are rather big .... bigger then your Maxijets which you found ugly.

If you have a Red Sea Berlin skimmer, it is actually not that bad a skimmer. You can do better, but it's not junk either.

As for corals, most photosynthetic soft corals or LPS corals will be great for a beginner. There's really too many recommended species to list. The best thing to do is to find a coral you like and post a thread asking if it's a good choice for your tank.

no i have red sea prizm deluxe. dont like it cant ever tune it in and its always putting little bubbles in the water,or else its not skimming.i think i could hopfully find one better.and those are nice looking powerheads how do they work.i will be looking at some corals in the next couple of weeks so i will repost then thinks for the help

Oh ya, that is not a good skimmer If you want a better hang-on, try a AquaC Remora Pro.
