Help me place my new frag

I just picked up a green efflo from a LFS. Just looking for suggestions on where to put it. I have a couple of ides, but do not want to bias to see if other think like me.

A shot of my tank from a few months back for reference. It is all I got for now. Nothing has been moved and only one piece has been added, a stag near the green millie on the left hand side.

I would find a spot where it would least likely over shadow other pieces.

That was a given, since they table. I have a couple of flat areas up high and mid tank that would work.

If it were me, I'd glue that sucker right to the overflow. There seems to be very little below it that could be shadowed (mind you, this won't happen for quite some time.. think years) but you could always move stuff that's under it.
Option b: also on the overflow, get a cheapy magfloat, glue it to that, and attach that magnetically to the overflow, then you can raise or lower it as needed. Or use any other sort of "magnetic mounting".. a niobium magnet inside a hunk of epoxy makes for a great mounting rack of course you sacrifice your magnet


Also it might help break up the obtrusive look of the black overflow right in the center by having something else to focus on.

My goal for the over flow is to get a few plating montis and let them do there thing. Also hoping that some of the branching corals in the area hit it and plate on to it. I want to keep the center clear for the LPS that I want to put in the vally.

Well if you're going to be difficult... I see a spot in a little depression directly downward from the tunze opening, where the rock is almost vertical, and there doesn't seem to be much there. That be the spot matey! ARRRR

Well I put it up back by the seio. Right hand pile near the back. The tank it came from had it high. The rock I put it on is basically flat and it has some room to spread out. The spot gets some good swirl from for the tunze, the secondary flow from the peductor and the slow flow headding to the overflow.

I would have put it on the rock pile on the left in the middle so it could grow out over the area between the rocks.

I have a tabeling coral and cap on the right of the opening. I want to get another cap or table coral for the left. For some reason I just did not want the efflo there.

Sounds good. It is hard to see the corals and what they are because they are so small in the pic.

This tank is post move to Houston. It's only been up since Oct of last year. Not even a year old yet.
