white specs on glass...what are they??

i just moved my tank and lost all my fish and have nothing in my tank but live rock right now. lately i have seen a bunch of little white specs on the inside of the glass that i have to scrape off with my blade or my magnetic glass cleaner. any idea what they are? they are as small as a grain of salt but are all around the glass.

Impossible to say for certain without a picture, but my guess would be a member of the subfamily: Spirobidae. If you look closely they are spiral type
animals and completely harmless filterfeeders. Normally they are seen on the back of the tank and powerheads.

Are they stuck to the glass or do they move and run around?

if i look closely enough i think its almost like they have tiny tiny legs..almost like a star fish.
