K guys, When It comes to nutrition for your fish, invertebrates, starfish etc..

What do you feed, how many times a day and Why?

I'm going to keep Clowns, blenies, starfish (in the future), soft corals and polyps.

I feed my fish a mix of PE Mysis, Hikari Mysis, live brine shrimp, Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef (frozen), and OSI pellet food. I am getting some Rod's Food this week too.

I feed at least twice a day. I feed generously but slowly so my fish consume most of the food quickly. I've found feeding more increases their health and activity.

I don't feed any of my corals directly. I have added stuff like Golden Pearls and Rotifeast in the past, but I don't usually add planktonic food to my tank.

I used to feed twice a day, i have now changed that and feed little and often. When i come in from work i defrost 2 cubes and over the course of the night put bits in the tank so that the fish can digest it. It helps the fish doing this, as in the wild they are constantly picking, and not eating large amounts at once. I feed my fish brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, frozen plankton and angel and butterfly food. I put garlic into the defrosted food with a pinch of cyclop-eeze. I add 1/4 of a sheet of seaweed for the tang. Every 3-4 days i put a few marine pellets in the tank after the lights go out for the inverts. My corals i don't direct feed. Everyday i put in 1ml of nannochloropsis and every two days i put in 1/4 of a cube of rotifiers.

When the polyps on my Duncan coral fully open i am going to feed it mysis, see how it gows.

I think the best thing for fish nutrition is to strive for variety.
