I just purchased a brain coral, bubble coral and a clam. Appreciate if someone can tell me what I can feed the corals without hurting my water quality. also, have yellow tang, bule hippo, royal gramma, maroon clown.

at this time i have Kent marine Micro vert-invertebrate food for fine filter feeders and Kent marine phytomax-super concentrated phytoplankton suspension for filter feeding invertebrates.

How often should I feed and is there a better food I can put into the water, the other how do I feed.

Tank is a 75 gallon reef ready with 80lbs LR.

what kind of clam? i have a T. Crocea, and i do nothing for him, except when i feed the corals i will release some phytoplankton into the water column. what kind of brain coral?
the bubble coral will eat misis, or fleshy foods. and yes, you'll need a considerable amount of light for all of these.

I feed my tank mysis, dt oyster eggs, freeze dried phyto, frozen rotifiers, brine and flake.

Corals seem to be thriving as well as my three clams and feather duster

Not to sound like a jerk, it is friendly advice - research care requirements before acquiring the animals (food, lighting, flow, etc). Often an LFS will provide just enough info for you to purchase haphazardly

I usually verify care requirements that lfs provides with research of my own prior to making a decision, it can save you big time $$ and headache - this I have learned from experience

And in this hobby, atleast in my neck of the woods, corals are not fast-moving inventory items at the lfs; you usually have plenty of time to do some research after identifying a potential specimen at the store

FWIW I feed my bubble, torch and frogspawn plankton, mysis and occasionally cyclop-eaze all mixed together in a container with tank water; I target feed using a homemade device of 1/4" tubing connected to small water intake device from an old test kit - it works great and the corals love being fed.
