Hello all...

I got one of those soft coral packs from Liveaquaria.com...

2 of the four were easy to ID... these two, not so much. Any help?

Thanks!

The first coral is a mushroom coral probably of the genus Discosoma sp.

The second coral is a Sarcophyton elegans. It is often called a Tongan Yellow Leather Coral.

Both are really nice corals to get in any coral pack. They are definitely better then your usual "filler" corals.

Sweet.

The first one is still acclimating to life in my little reef world.

The second is looking very happy in its new spot. The color is brilliant under both actinic and 10000K daylight.

In the 4 pack, I also got a button coral, not sure of the specific name, but it is purple, and looks very healthy... and the other is a small toadstool...

It's a pretty good deal for $59.99...

I'll be buying my corals and coral frags locally now. I just wanted to get a good start with some quality samples from liveaquaria.com...

The Yellow Tongan can be hard to keep. Watch it closely, needs lots of flow and lighting. It's not a typical easy leather.

1) Rhodactis sp mushroom - a tad less hardy than discosoma in my experience be sure not to give em too much light.

2) Second is Sarcophyton elegans - high light and high flow reccomended for best health.
