I have had my 75 Gal for about 2 years now with 85lbs of LR, 5 animals and 5 corals. keep up the tank well but starting to notice some red slime on the glass next to sand bed so added some chemi clean twice to the tank in 48 hour period. Then did a 20% water change. What is happening is that my protein skimmer is just running away the water coming up is clear not too dirty. Just not sure why this happening. Water is very clear. appreciate your thoughts.

Without more info I would say you have cyano. Also without knowing more I would say that you do not have enough flow.

If i'm correct when you use Chem-clean you should turn the skimmer off or it will go nutso. Regarding the cyano, gotta find the source. Excess nutrients etc...
