do u think i should have 2 day light and actinic and MH? ( in one bulb)

or

is the triplus a actinic bulb? i like to use mh with actinics only, no daylight or half and half. but if your mh is already very blue then some daylight might be good.

i see what u mean , i went and got another daylight with blue ,so now i have 2 actinics and white and a 150 mh , ill probebly go for the bluey MH bulb because i like the way the fish and coral glow a little, i know the actinics make the corals and fish flurese but does a bluey MH bulb make that happen too????? :?:

Yeah, the higher the color temperature (the bluer), the more the flourescence pops out. Actinics, unlike most other bulbs are just a very thin spike at a particullar wavelength. Your Metal Halide will have a more dispersed output (color wize), but the higher the color temperature the more blue spectrum you will get.

A lower color temperature (not really low, just 6700K) creates more useable light for photosynthetic animals. However, It usually does not make large enough difference for people to use soely 6700K bulbs due to the washed out yellow look.
