Coral vue is the company that we are in litigation with. We are suing
Coralvue for patent and trademark infringement. I contracted coralvue to
make the Lumenarc 3 for me, to distribute the way we always had for the
past 20 years. He never had permission to sell the product himself. All
I needed was a metal fabric
ator. When I was getting product from
Coralvue the first orders were so terrible that I could not even sell
them on the market. Then I started to see my reflectors on different web
sites I had never sold to. As I would sit and wait for my product other
stores were whoring out my trademarked Lumenarc. When I would finally
get the 500+ reflectors there would always be something wrong with
them(dents, scratches, wrong material, ect.) eventually I found my orders
were being sabotaged while he was selling my products. We have been
doing horticultural lighting for 27 years and I would have never
imagined how filthy and cut throat the aquarium industry could be. When
sunlight supply(another horticultural lighting manufacturer) decided to
copy my reflector at least they changed the design a little and changed
the name. I even congratulated them on making a nice reflector almost as
good as the L3. We are a small company, and I love designing the best
custom lighting in the world. I found something I cannot learn enough
about (Light and life). All I need to know is the dimensions of the
space you want to light and the budget. With this I can design the best
lighting for what ever the application is. If the Guganheim in Germany,
the Smithsonian (U.S.), and countless other public aquariums can trust
me to design their lights I like to think the general public can too.
I hope this clarifies some things, and gives you a better idea of who we
are at Lumenarc Lighting,
thank you,
Daniel Ghiglieri
