I just got a wave box. I want to cut out this amount in the red section. Do you think this is wise?

I feel the power head is too low in the my 120.



Ill probably post this on RC for some more input. I came here first, because there are 1000 more smart people over here than there.

Set it up in your tank first. See if you need that extra space. Then raise it up a bit and see if it still works. When I've seen them in operation they don't use that top few inches.

well, i did. I dont like it blasts my corals..... even though its "wide flow" its still powerful. I could turn it down, but I want the wave action through out the tank.
