i just bought some "formula two", by a company called "ocean nutrition".

I buy a different kind each time. I like rotating between prepared foods just to even out any excesses or deficiencies any one kind may have over time.

I do feed a mix of homemade frozen food too. Variety!

yes, a variety is what i shoot for as well, but i was asking about what kind of flake food you all use. i use flake as an "in between" food sort of. i feed 4 different things, i want to make it 5 or 6 even.

Some of my fish will eat pellets (Ocean Nutrition and OSI). None will eat flakes of any brand :(

see, what i would like to do is have 3 or 4 different types of flake, so i can alternate each day, not each few months.
i was curious about what was well known, or a quality name, since they are ALL stating on the container that they have the best nutrition.
i just finished a can of tetramin tropical crisps. i liked them because the kernels, or crisps, were "beefy".
len, do you soak the flakes in water for a few seconds before tossing them in the tank?

I feed a variety of foods as well, but as far as dried foods go Ocean Nutrition and OSI are my favorite. My "bristleworms" love Ocean Nutrition formula one small pellet and it is the perfect size to fit in there mouths. If you happen to hate worms, which by the way are very good for your aquarium, the pellets bring out the worms thereby netting them simply. I used this method to lure them out to photograph these wonderful creatures.

Before I fell totally in love with shrimp I use to keep clownfish and anemones. While reading Wilkerson I found out that Ocean Nutrition was made by one of the few people responsible for mainstream clownfish breeding.

FORMULA 1 FROZEN IS DEVOWERED BY MY FIRE SHRIMPS

Prime Reef and O.S.I spirelula flakes are what I use.

I rarely use flake but have a can of Omega One for when I do. Usually when I'm in a rush.
The only other dry food I use is pellet, but mostly fresh or frozen.
