cloudy water change water

Had something odd happen this week. I made up some water change water, added salt with a power head and let it sit over night. It never cleared up. It stayed so couldy I could not see the bottom of the mixing tank. So I made more water and did the exact same thing and the water mixed right up clear as can be.

Any ideas?

Same batch of salt on the second try?

Assuming this water is coming from an RO or RO/DI, how long has it been since you last used the unit?

Any chance there was some sort of residue in the container when you did the first batch?

Same batch of salt. I am about halfway through a bucket and this is the first time it happened. The unit was used the day before to fill my top off container. It is a RO/DO about 9 months old. Not sure about the residue. The last time the bucket was used was the week before for a water change. That is all the buckets are used for and I rinse them out afterwards.
