I have a bleached anemone....it used to be a Rose, but the "Rose" (color) has been gone for a long time :(

I target feed it 2 times a week. When will the color ever comeback? Will incresing the target feeding get the zooanthelea (not sure if that's spelled right) back?

I'd rather rehab this thing than buy one fom an LFS.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

What sort of lighting do you have? How far from the lighting is the nem?

In theory it could well come back, if you provide the right conditions.

I have 2x150W Phoenix 10K DE MH. Sorry I forgot to mention that. Could it come back in a couple of months and year?

It's settled toward the bottom of the tank on the live rock. Apporximately 20 inches from the bulbs. It obviously can't take the lighting yet becuase it's mostly in shade when the lights are on.

It's developing white tips on its tentacles. Not sure if that indicates anything. I would say it's getting stronger though becuase its getting more sticky, and a bristle worm tried to be slick and the anem ate half of it. Now that was cool :D I could see the worm desparately tugging away from the anem's mouth.

That is pretty cool. 8)

Certainly the stickiness returning is a good sign. Keep feeding it (about the same rate you are now, I'd say) and it might shift to a better position lightwise, of its own accord.
