Tank rejecting halides???

Well its been a month so far and nothing in my tank seems to like my Sunpod. I have the 150 watt MH and the duel actinic 96 watts. My clam will barely open. The only thing thats "happy" is my blue bottlebrush and my staghorn.

All of the above were happy under the VHO's

It might not be the MH, per se, but the bulb you're using. I've used bulbs that killed stuff (Sunburst bulbs come to mind). Or you need to give them more time to acclimate but shortening the photoperiod and/or raising the lights.

Hmm Ive got them on timers for 12 hours on 12 hours off. The lights are 9 inches above the water.

It's probably light shock from the increase in intensity.

Shorten it to 4 hours first. You could also raise them up an inch or two. Than, move them down and increase the photoperiod slowly over the next couple of weeks. A few hours of MH is all you need, really. You can use the actinics only, the rest of the time.
