I just bought a tang and he is very reluctant to eat. Are there any tricks on getting him to eat? He is about 4 in, but he is dark brown\gray. Is this a juvenile color pattern???

how long have you had the little guy? what are you attempting to feed him? they change colors often depending on stress.

I've had him since 9/15. He was that color when I bought him. When he is stressed he turns splotchy with light gray dots.

Trying to feed him Ocean Nutrition 2 (the frozen algae cubes) of course thawed and squished up. Mysis shrimp (mostly for other fish), Nori sheet, Ocean nutrition for herbivores (dried small pellet).

He's the little guy in the center of the picture against the black background. Sorry
