OK, it looks like everything else survived and stuff is about 90% back to normal. I'm buying a new water filtration system and Tunze water fans for the tank as a way of redeeming myself.
Some day I may want to replace the blue tang. This one I raised from the size of a dime, as I have never seen adult blue tangs adapt (I think they collect them with cyanide). So if anyone has a suggestion where to get a healthy one, let me know.
It's all back to normal (except no blue tang). Everything else recovered. I had some sort of weird red cyano-like (?) algae, not standard looking, but for some reason that problem got solved in the shock.
